Country Living Fair Nashville 2016
Do you love antiques, shabby chic, vintage, boutique clothing, plants, jewellery, and artsy craftsy items? Then mark your calendar for next year’s Country Living Fair Nashville. This year the Country Living Fair Nashville 2016 was held April 22-24. My sister and I went last year and had so much fun that we decided last year that we would be attending this year as well. We didn’t realize at the time it would land on my birthday April 22. It turned out to be a great birthday weekend getaway. My cousin, Donna and my daughter, Stella came with us and we really had a blast. We left Alabama on Friday and stopped in Lynchburg, Tennessee for a tour of the Jack Daniel’s Distillery that afternoon. I am not a big Whiskey drinker but the tour was so fascinating and the grounds were gorgeous. After finding out how much care is taken in making Jack Daniel’s Whiskey, I may have to say bye, bye to Vodka. Just kidding! Anyway after our tour, we drove on to our hotel to get some rest for our big day of shopping on Saturday.

Each year, they are held in Rhinebeck, NY, Nashville, TN, Columbus, OH, and Atlanta, GA. We will probably go to the one in Atlanta, that will be held on October 21-23, 2016. This event just grows and grows. We could tell a difference in the size of the crowd and the number of vendors this year from last year. The highlight for me each year is the cooking demonstrations and book signings. Last year we saw the Fabulous Beekman Boys and this year was Nancy Fuller, star of Farmhouse Rules. I am not a big shopper but my sister, cousin and daughter had fun shopping. I did purchase a silver ladle to use on my next soup post. Whether you like shopping or just good ‘ole browsing, there is something for everyone at the Country Living Fairs. I would highly recommend everyone to go to at least one of these fairs.
