Heat the olive oil in a large skillet and add the sliced onion. Cook until translucent.
Add the mushrooms and cook 2-3 minutes. Remove the onions and mushrooms to a plate.
Sprinkle the bottom of the pan with salt and add 5 of the patties. Sprinkle the tops with more salt and cumin. Cook about 4 minutes then flip and cook 4 minutes more.
Remove to the plate with the onions and mushrooms.
Cook the other 5 patties in the same manner. Don't forget the salt and cumin.
Remove to the plate.
If necessary add a little more oil to the pan. Add the flour to the pan and whisk till the mixture is smooth. Cook 2-3 minutes, then add the beef stock. Cook 2-3 more minutes.
Add the meat, onions and mushrooms back to the pan. Lower the heat, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes. Serve with rice.
