Sweet and Juicy Chilton County Peach Cobbler
Ingredients
  • 1 Cup Butter, slightly softened
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 4 Chilton County Peaches (okay you can use Georgia peaches if you have to ;-) )
  • For topping:
  • 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • ¼ Cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cut the butter into the sugar and flour until it just starts to come together.
  3. Peel your peaches and cut into slices. (You can leave the peel on if you like - it is your pie after all!)
  4. Place the peaches in your pan and arrange neatly. I used a ceramic pie pan and it worked great.
  5. Sprinkle the topping over the top of the peaches. It will look messy.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until done and then place under broiler for 3 minutes to brown.
  7. While the cobbler is baking, pour the heavy whipping cream into a large mixing bowl.
  8. Sprinkle the powdered sugar over the cream and whip until fluffy. Cover and place in fridge until ready to serve.
  9. When the cobbler is done, remove from oven to cooling rack.
  10. Cool for a few minutes then place on plate and top each serving with whipped cream if desired. Afiyet olsun!
